IEU 101 is an animated short in the style of an advert for a robotic interactive entertainment system. The Interactive Entertainment Unit 101 is a robotic unit, that combines multimedia entertainment with character in the form of the main robotic unit and its 5 independently controlled miniature robotic speakers.
This project offered a great opportunity to experiment with character animation, motion graphics and effects.
As this animated piece was created a few years before the widespread adoption of high storage USB drives and fast internet connection speeds that we enjoy today I designed the unit to have a DVD / CD drive, which appears a little dated now.
